Will a 350 chevy out run a 400 big block Ford?

Hello,I was just wondering if witch one would run faster.I'v had a bounch of people tell me that they have seen a bounch of 350 chevy
out run a 400 big block.Thank you for your help
 
In stock form in equal vehicles, the 350 Chevy should be faster than the Ford 400. Even though the Ford is larger, it was never designed for performance. It has heavy internals, and was made for truck use.

On the other hand, once these engines are modified for performance, all bets are off.
