Will a 3.0 V6 out of a 93' ford minivan, fit into a 90' ford ranger with a 2.9 V6?

well i heard they might but i don't know for sure and i don't want to go through the hassle of pulling the motor for nothing. so if anyone can help that would be very appreciated
