Will a 2004 Honda Civic Si front struts fit a 2001 Honda Civic EX ?

I want to buy used struts for my 2001 Honda Civic EX (4 door) 1.7 liter. The struts i found on craigslist was from a 2004 Honda Civic Si 2.0 liter. Will this fit or do i have to do some modification? also can i just change the front inserts and where can i get them at low cost ?
