will a 1995 buick century moter fit a 1997 buick century both 3.1 v6?

have a 1997 buick century and moter is bad and i found a 1995 buick century for a ok price moter good both cars have a 3.1 v6 can i buy the 1995 and put the moter in my 1997 ? help please
 
it is hard to say. you can research it at ebay. do a search for the engine you want to put in. when you find them ask the seller if he knows what cars it will go into. you can also go to rockauto.com and search the category for your car and the car you have the engine for them see if it interchanges with your car. good luck.
 
I would say 'yes'. You can tell the similarity by comparing just the look...exhaust may be different, don't let that confused you. You can also call several junk yards, tell them what year your car is, they normally have a computer program will cross check the compatibility of the engine line.
