I have a project car that I'm working on, and I have questions. I have an 84 Chevy Celebrity that is in need of a engine rebuild. I found a couple 2.8 engines online that I could use for a swap, and I've found a 3.8 from a 89 Pontiac Bonneville. I want to go with the 3.8 because it's cheaper and more powerful. Keeping these facts in mind, I have a few questions.
1. Will the 3.8 fit?
2. If so, will it work with the current transmission?
3. If the engine fits, but cannot be mated to the original transmission, will the Bonneville transmission fit and function on the Celebrity body?
4. What other accommodations would need to be made, assuming the 3.8 fits?
