...juice to start the car once? ? About a week ago Washington State got a crazy snow storm in which I kept my car in the parking lot since it is a real wheel drive. About a week of not starting (or driving) it, it cranked up and after about a minute of running cut off. When I tried to restart it, it would not start. Three hours later I tried to start it and it fired right up only to shut off 30 seconds later. It keeps doing the same thing when I wait several hours to restart it. Is it that I need a new car battery since I heard that cold weather can take its toll on a car battery?

It sounds fine when it turns over, it just shuts off 30 seconds to a minute later then it will no start back at all, lights will not even come on. Hours later it cranks up fine and does the same thing. Before the snow storm came it ran just fine, after the snow storm it does this.

Also when it is running for the short period of time the alternator warning light in the car does not come on. Some people say that it is the alternator but how can cold weather damage that when it was working fine before the snow storm. Is it that my battery is just too dead or is it more to it than that? Remember the car ran fine before the snow storm where was sitting out side in the old un-ran for about a week.
Thanks for the info in advance.
