juice to start the car once? ? About a week ago Washington State got a crazy snow storm in which I kept my car in the parking lot since it is a real wheel drive. About a week of not starting (or driving) it, it cranked up and after about a minute of running cut off. When I tried to restart it, it would not start. Three hours later I tried to start it and it fired right up only to shut off 30 seconds later. It keeps doing the same thing when I wait several hours to restart it. Is it that I need a new car battery since I heard that cold weather can take its toll on a car battery?

It sounds fine when it turns over, it just shuts off 30 seconds to a minute later then it will no start back at all, lights will not even come on. Hours later it cranks up fine and does the same thing. Before the snow storm came it ran just fine, after the snow storm it does this. Thanks for the info in advance.

Try jump stating it and after it starts leave the cables on after awhile remove the cables and if it dies then chances are its the battery

I think if you keep trying to start it i think after a few more times it will have enough battery power to the get the alternator to recharge. Have you tried jumping it and leaving it on another car for a few mins.

Get a new battery, if you still have trouble you may have corrosion inside the battery cables.

Sounds like the voltage regulator has gone out. The alternator charges the battery via the voltage regulator. If regulator fails, no juice, even though alternator is good. Yours should be mounted on the fenderwell and look like this.....http://www.autozone.com/R,1119139/vehicleId,1312402/initialAction,partProductDetail/store,773/partType,00097/shopping/partProductDetail.htm
