Wil State Farm Insurance pay for someone else's dent on the car if I backed into them?

I backed into a car and I dented the hood of the car. They say they need a new hood, and I have full coverage but we didn't fill out an accident report or anything. I just told him to call me the next day. We knew each other. So will my insurance still cover it even if we didn't call the cops??
