Wikipedia download

I know that someone (or more) have mentioned that there is a complete Wikipedia download file for Palm OS I was wondering if anyone could help me with that. I'm particularly curious if I can get one that's a snapshot of Wikipedia from 6-9 months ago. Someone eviscerated an article and I was hoping to recapture some of the data. Thanks.

Tombraider has a larger version they made of the 2008 encyclopedia but has not made if available for palm even though there web site states that they will have a palm friendly version soon. Soon meaning whatever, because I emailed them around a year ago about that statement as I did today.

Varjak, why don't you simply look at the article history? Wikipedia archives all of the edited versions of their articles, so if someone deleted part of one, you can go back to a point before they deleted it and not only read the data, but to restore it.

Adama, somehow all that stuff is not just 'edited' but GONE. There obviously was some kind of big fight that I missed, the destroyer was banned, but the data is gone. When I go back to the version where the links are 'live' to sub-articles, the sub-articles are gone, and no old versions are extant. When you click on those links, it takes you back to the current version of the main article.

Varjak, I suggest you PM Raspy. I remember he has done this Wikipedia thing in the past, and he knows the quirks of the subject.

Thanks Hal, I'll try that.

Rick, I haven't tried the Wayback yet; but I have to say, in a Murphy's Law kind of way, whenever I want to use that, it never has the page I want. It did occur to me though.

I also wanted the pocket Wikipedia just for the utility, as my LifeDrive is NOT cellular and only connects to Wikipedia with a WiFi connection. It wasn't just for the one article.
