I have a 32" Panasonic tv that is ~4 years old. Somehow it has component jacks. Will I notice a difference on my crappy tv with the new cables. Right now I have my cable box hooked up with component. I think my cable company (Comcast) has boxes that will just use coax. Is it worth going through the trouble to get a new box and get the Wii components?

yes, you should. I have my PS2 connected via component cables through my receiver (a/v switcher) and then down to my tv. Looks the same as when it was connected directly. I'm sure the Wii is the same way.
BTW, I too have an SDTV w/component. MUCH better than composite.
