I'm in the market for a new phone - the e730 was a great intro to higher end handsets, despite some important missing features (expandable memory, usb 2.0) - and just like many others, I'm looking to Nokia for my new fix. I'm really most interested in the n93, but an answer that applies to any of their wifi phones will do. My question is, to access my school's network even on a laptop, I need to download a program, run checks to make sure norton antivirus is installed & updated (one of the main reasons I don't bring my laptop to campus anymore) and check to see that windows is installed with SP2 and the latests updates. Obviously, the phone won't be running windows, and the program takes a dump even if you use Firefox instead of internet explorer. If I have a wifi-enabled phone, will I take it to campus and find that I won't have any connectivity? Are these phones recognized by the network as a regular PC, and thus subject to their requirements for connectivity?
edit: if it helps, the program is called Catpro.
