WiFi Extender

Over Thanksgiving a buddy of mine was surfing the web via his laptop using his neighbors WiFi. He had no trouble cruising the net at a pretty good rate of speed. So I pulled out my TX set to impress and when I attempted to get connected via the WiFi he had used earlier (from his neighbors house), I could not get it to connect ........I can only assume b/c the signal was too weak. I could see the signal but it never showed above 40%.

Is there any way ........hardware or software wise to get my TX to pick up / read WiFi signals better? That stunk!! All (extended) weekend long with no connectivity!

Same thing happens with me and my neighbor's wireless network, I can pick it up with my laptop but not with my T5, even when I go outside on my patio. However, what I know about WiFi (which isn't alot), I don't know what you can do from a receiver's standpoint...about the best I think you can do is try to your neighbor to boost his signal a bit.

By the way, Wikipedia has a good explanation of WiFi to include its limitations...
