Wife's New S50

We picked up my wife's new S50 last night. I rode it home, ~25 mile, from the dealer. Nice bike, does not fit me as well as my M50, but fits her perfectly. It has good power, going 65 was effortless. Pretty minimalist compared to the M50 but just what she wanted. She rode it to school for the first time this morning and called me when she got there. Her first words were:

"Oh my god, it doesn't like to go slow! I am going to have to be careful or I am going to get speeding tickets."

This is the replacement for her GZ250 she learned on.

I think you have a new convert to the S50 is the best bike crowd.

Congrats to your wife on her new S50. I was very close to buying an S50 for myself couple years ago.

If you care for Suzuki's break-in recommendations, and if I remember correctly, it's max half throttle for the first 600 miles and max 3/4 throttle for another 600 miles [see the manual for accurate figures]. Tires have to break-in also, guess it takes around 100 miles for the tires to be broken-in.

Congrats on the new bike! I love my S50 and I probably will never move up in size because I love the speed and handling. Easy to do maintenance on too.
 
Congrats on the new S50.

It's a great bike and a good fit for shorter people. It's wheelbase is over 3" shorter than the M50 and about 100# lighter. The result is that it can really move out. Your wife needs to be careful.

Well I just picked up my gf a S40 with 222 klm's.......she loves it and was out on Sunday for her first ride on it....it replaces her GZ250......now just need to sell her 07 GZ250 (only 1800 klm's)....:bluethum:

Excellent condition starter motorcycle. It has never seen the rain or been dropped. Only 1825 klm's on this motorcycle that gets approximately 80 miles/gal. It comes with crash bars and saddle bag brackets. It was fully serviced and is ready to ride.
