Wi-Fi for my home, how?

I have broadband, 10 Megs feed , external modem to my (older)PC. I want to add a wireless (router?) to my internet connection.....rid satellite fees.
I already know the TV "boxes" I want to purchase.
Question is:
what IS the BEST (inexpensive) device to install/add that shall provide Wi-Fi in my home (ONLY!)
