Wi-fi connection

Ok, after being an early adoptor of the wi-fi card, and not using it in cafes, I now have a working wi-fi setup at home.

Problem - once i have connected my palm (t3), and try to either open a webpage with webPro, or collect mail with snappermail i get the follwoing errors:

DNS timeout (on webpro)
Bad DNS address (on snappermail)

can anyone suggest what i'm doing wrong....

Thanks,

Somebody reported something that looked like similar problems over on rabroad (I think) a couple of months back. I _think_ he got it resolved by a reset and a re-installation of the wi-fi drivers. But it may be that he actually did a hard reset plus re-install.. if a simple re-installation doesn't do it it could be that you could un-install wi-fi drivers and re-install. Not sure. The problem would in any case be that the wi-fi drivers are a bit.. finicky.. in that they hook into the OS itself (that's why the installation will soft-reset the Palm several times during installation). And it could be messed up by things installed afterwards or something.

Sorry to be so vague, but it Just Worked for me (I followed the installation procedure exactly) so this is only from memory from someone else's description.

Anyway, if installed properly the rewards are good - not only do you get working wi-fi, but you'll get a pop-up asking you to enable wi-fi whenever it's appropriate (e.g. if you click 'connect' in webpro or AvantGo), and even better -- you'll get a pop-up for Bluetooth as well, you'll never have a connection failure again if you start a BT app. without having BT enabled beforehand!
