Why you wear gear even on those short trips.

Hey people.

Been a while since I posted here. That would probably be because on a trip back from my mates place, a car decided to run up the back of me.

Was riding at the speed limit in suburbia on my way home at dusk. Was riding towards the sunset, tricky corner, braked a bit going into it... next thing I know, a 4wd runs up the back of me.

Throws me onto the other side of the road.

Thanks to my gear, a pretty serious concussion and a cracked bone in my foot where my 848 landed on top of my foot.

Here's some pictures of just why even in the tropics I never go out without at least my summer casual riding gear.

Sorry to hear about the accident and glad your OK, but really the only thing this proves is we should be wearing "our gear" walking out of the house, on the side walk etc.

+1! Very strong second amendment supporter here. Have both Massachusetts and Utah state licenses to carry...so basically legal in 33 states. That car was used as a weapon...should get it's tires shot out. Unfortunately it came at you from behind so you probably had no clue it was even there, because if you knew it was coming you surely would have cranked the throttle and gotten out of harms way with ease. Sorry to hear about this...did they drive off or stop and accept full responsibility? Glad you're ok

Good to see your ok and glad to see your kit is a quality kit to often i see bike accidents where they either have none/little or crap gear on that does litte to protect themselves
