I as stated above ive got a Jeep Cherokee Sport, a 2000 model. It's only got 97,000 miles on it. Problems started yesterday when it struggled to start. It would turn and turn and i would have to give it some gas to try and make the engine catch, but it wasn't working too well. Finally it started after about the 20th try. I drove for about 20 minutes after that and stopped at a friends house for about 5 minutes. Then got back in the car to start it and it worked fine. (possibly because it was still hot, who knows?) And then I parked and havent driven it since 6:00 last night. This morning about 6:00 I went to start it again and I was having the same problem I had yesterday afternoon. I charged the battery all the way up last week and I haven't left my lights on at all so i don't think its that. I have a full tank of gas. What I'm worried about is my fan belt. It has been making some horrid sounds lately when I first start up my car (such as a high pitched sound like nails on a chalkboard). Any ideas on what the problem would be?
Why wouldn't my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport start this morning?
