Why would the Oil light come on in a 2000 Buick Lesabre?

I just changed the oil and the oil light comes on now. The level is full, no knocks or ticks or any other noises. this car does not have a oil pressure gauge so I cannot tell if there is any oil pressure. The only things that have changed recently is-- Ball joints, CV Shafts, tie rod ends, and the ABS sensor wire was cut. But I do not see why this would cause the oil light to come on...
I did not cut any wires. The ABS wire was corroded and broke. If you dodn't have a serious answer, then don't.

As for the oil pressure tester, I am thinking of installing a oil pressure gauge. I hate dummy lights. I am wondering if I could swap in a cluster from a Buick that has a pressure gauge with out having to do too much wiring surgery.
