...documentary? I guess he was following protocol, but do he and other PM's believe she is better than them just because of the fact that she was born into a certain family? After all, a PM is duly elected and has real power, unlike the queen. Is it true that Cherie Blair refused to curtsy? If you really stop and think about it...if Elizabeth's uncle, Edward VIII, had not abdicated then she would now be no higher in social rank than the likes of the current Princess Alexandra as just a granddaughter of a king/daughter of a duke. So, to think she is somehow a divinely chosen sovereign ruler is absurd. She's "ruler" only because her uncle wanted to marry a divorcee and that made her father have to take the throne. Royalty is really quite absurd in modern times, but it does makes for good soap opera. Perhaps that is the only reason it is still around in the 21st century.
