So I stopped for a light and few seconds later someone rear ends me but the guy is trying to get out of it by saying I cut him off the cop believed this old guy even when he was irate and wanting to hit me.
He wants to take it to court I never changed lanes once but I did read its the most common excuse for rear ending someone.
What do you think is going to happen I have no previous accidents and he doesn't?
I also did go to doctors so they have to pay me for that the cop never took my statement and his insurence kept saying I had comprehensive and clearly didnt look up I only had liability or the papers the cop submitted.
Did I get screwed in this situation possibly I swear to god I did not cut anyone off and that he was on the cell phone and didnt hit me until few seconds after I stopped.
Is it uncommon for someone to turn simple accidents to make other person liable cause my car almost had 0 damage it got scratched but he lost his whole front end.
