Why would someone steal my bike seat and return it?

My bike seat got stolen over 2 months ago, along with all the other bike seats that were chained to the same rack. Then a few weeks later, my bicycle tire got stolen, but they left the wheel.

Then I was taking out the trash just two days ago, and I noticed that they returned my bike seat. It is the exact same bike seat and it was even placed in my bike.

The strangest part is, no one knows I have a bike. The ones that do, don't know what my bike looks like, or where I keep it. I live in a busy downtown area so theft is common... but to return it months later!?!?

WHY?
 
WOW that's weird. Is there a college in your area? I'm thinking college prank? You know, like a hazing list. It's a stretch, I know. But what else is there? lol Thanks for sharing the story. Hope someday you get it resolved.
 
Maybe they steal your stuff
so they have something to worseship you
they want to know how it feel like
but they are worried that if you miss it too long
you will hit them with your wrath
so they return it to you
make sense?
 
someone once stool my wallet but they were nice enough to give my drives license to the post office who sent it back to me. some people are just odd.
