When I went in there, and I negotiated a deal. Basically, they gave me everything I wanted for cheaper, except they wanted my old phone. The only requirement was that is turned on (i.e. they would accept any old battered thing as long as it worked).
Why would that be of any value to them? Or is it simply that I needed to give them something to justify the lesser price?
Ironically for them, that part of the deal was what forced me not to buy anything...I didn't have a phone on me that I was willing to part with. I think it was supposed to be an easy thing to make the sale.
