Why would my virgin media account be disabled?

I was checking my emails yesterday and my account said it had been disabled and to ring virgin media. So I rang virgin media but the woman who I spoke to was very helpful said the account was fine and the payments were going throughh ok. She even went off twice to check it was ok but she said there were no problems with it. As far as I know the internet is working fine. I pay for my parents internet so I dont know if it working but they havent said anything so as far as I know it is working fine. I havent even recieved any letters or emails from virgin media so I cant understand.
Ive heard they aren't perfect with there sercives so that could be the reason. And when I was on the phone to them they were very busy as I was waiting for about 15 minutes but usually they are quite quick.
Could this just be a problem with the website?
