Why would my photo of me, go back to an avatar I once used?

I had changed nothing for two or three months but was away from YA for a while. when I returned, my old avatar was back again, my photo was gone and my 360 profile was gone as well.

What's up with that?
I sent a letter to Yahoo "contact us" but got back some seemingly unrelated mumbojumbo.
