why would my overdrive light be flashing on my 94 ford probe?

I have a 1994 ford probe that for some reason the overdrive light keeps flashing and now has made my check engine light come on. Now i have an OBD1 & OBD2 scanner but i cant find the hook up to diagnose it and am stumbed if you might have any idea what i can do please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
