Why would my 11 mo old puppy have become aggressive after spaying a week ago?

We had our puppy spayed 8 days ago. about 2 and half days after her surgery she began growling at everyone, she actually went into a corner and stayed for 2 days not getting up for anything. She didn't really eat for 3 days and extremely small amounts of water in total. She has now graduated from just growling to aggressively barking in attack mode positioning at all of us. Especially aggressively toward my children (12 & 17). She is a small dog, so she was puppy pad trained. She now urinates and more where ever she is, whether it be her crate or the carpet. We brought her to the vet who found no signs of infection but gave her a preventive antibiotic and some tranquilizers (has very little effect). Said it's likely pain and she would be fine. She is wearing an E-collar (cone) to prevent her from pulling at her stitches which I'm sure is making this tougher, but does anyone think the dr may be missing something??? I've never heard of a dog behaving this way after surgery/spaying.
The dr prescribed her Metacam 15 ML.

i haven't either
how much training has she had?
how much exercise does she get?
how much socialization?
how much grooming?

small dogs still train to go outside to potty.
she is used to using house by pads so is doing so.

vet has ruled out medical
take to a professional trainer to work with her.

my pup was the same way, my vet said she was in pain and not sleeping well too. He gave her medicine (like aspirin) and she did better though it did cost over $100 for the pain meds
