why would he ask for my number and text me then not text me after saying that he will

talk to me later? I met this guy at the library, he approached me and asked for my number. it started off as him who is a complete stranger to me wanted to leave and come back and the doors were locked from the outside so he asked for my number to text me to open the door for him and then he insisted tha ti should give him my number instead of me getting his number he said it was okay if i left and then started a conversation with me asking me about myself and then he left adn texted me an hour later he texted me saying that he is gonna go home and that its getting late then we started texting eachother and getting to know eachother for like 4 hhours then he said he had to go study for midterms and that he will talk to me later. its been 2 weeks already and i am dying to text him but i dont usually like starting the conversation first but i am so tempted to text him. i also dont want to waste my time if he is not interested but it makes me think cause why would he ask for my number in the first place, because when he asked for my number it seemed like he was using the whole doors are locked from outside as an excuse to get my number when we first met at the library. its just that he IS really cute and i would like ot get to know him alot more . but i dont want to seem to needy what should i do? its been 2 weeks already and im scared that if i text him than i feel like i am annoying him or something it could just be me over reacting though. but yeah my question is what should i do in this situation. but also note that he said that he will talk to me later and its been 2 weeks and he never texted me since the first day we met so yeah what should i do?
