Why would god need anything, to do anything - like a sacrifice to atone sin?

it seems rather unnecessary for a god, with unlimited power to require anything to do anything. He created everything from nothing, right? Why would he require a human sacrifice (jesus) as atonement from sin? Why should he need the innocent mans blood for atonement if HE created the innocent man (or already is him) and the blood. A god with limitless power doesn't need to do anything but "will" something to be, and make it so. He shouldn't be bound by any rules. To say an all powerful god needs a human sacrifice to atone sin is excessive and unnecessary.
