Why would Ford still make Mercury vehicles and who would buy one?

Ford must give financing to anyone in farm towns to keep selling these things because I cant think of another reason why Ford needs another line of vehicles that all look and do the same thing. I'd rather see a million ford fusions at a cheaper cost than all these lines over overpriced late nineties models. Correct me if I am wrong

I'm bias because my grandfather worked and after time became the owner of Vogler Ford in Carbondale Illinois until he passed away last year after fifty years of service.

Ford makes Mercury vehicles, because people buy them. It's a classy version of Fords. When people think Ford, they think the all american automobile. Standard cars. But Mercury,Lincoln, people think more sophisticated. And the majority of Mercury and Lincoln cars have more accessories that people enjoy. Especially the Lincoln vehicles. Wow they are beautiful.

But yea, don't diss the Ford company. They have higher standards, and a greater sense of pride than any other company. Believe me, they do. You should see the crap other dealers try to pull.
