When Apple revealed the new iPhone 4S, they said it is a world phone.. meaning it will support both GSM and CDMA networks, but if you buy the factory unlocked iPhone 4S from Canada or elsewhere, it will only work with AT&T and other GSM providers. If you go to Sprint or Verizon, they'll tell you that the "unlocked iPhone 4S" won't support their network!!! I wanted to double check on that, so I went to the Verizon store near my house and the salesperson told me that their iPhone4S do NOT have a sim card slot.. for GSM networks. I mean, How in the world would they advertise it as a world phone then?!
One more thing, does anyone know when exactly "in November" is Apple US going to release the commitment-free factory unlocked iPhone 4S?
