They still get a degree, and that degree counts if they want to get a job which requires one. Personally, I would not choose an unaccredited university, unless it was a brand new one which was not yet eligible for accreditation, but I can see that for some people, it really doesn't matter. Accreditation for a university, by the way, is not related to quality, but means that an outside body has confirmed that the university actually does what it claims to do.
