Why would anyone buy a Chrysler Product? I didn't know any better.?

My Chrysler Sebring convertible has been a nightmare due to a faulty design with the water pump. 2002 Model. 61,800 miles. How can a manufacture produce a faulty product and get away with it and fast food resturant get sued for selling hot coffee. I like my coffee hot.
