Chrysler Voyager minivan? I recently received my insurance bill for my 2010 Corolla I just leased a couple of weeks ago. The insurance is $60 more per MONTH than my previous vehicle, a 2001 Chrysler Voyager minivan.
The Corolla has an anti-theft system, not to mention a bazillion airbags to minimize injuries in the even of an accident. The Chrysler had driver's side and passenger side airbags only, and no theft-deterrent devices.
I'm having trouble figuring out why, all things being otherwise equal, the insurance would be so much more for the Corolla? Is it because it's new and there aren't any generic parts available yet? Or is it because it's a lease?
