I'm looking at purchasing a 2008 Lexus IS 250. The dealer bought this car at an auction in Florida. This vehicle was previously used as a fleet vehicle. I have looked at the carfax report, and everything looks fine, but I'm wondering why they are selling the car AS IS when there is only 8,898 miles on the car? They offer an extended warranty, but of course I will have to pay for it. I'm just trying to figure out why the factory warranty isn't offered. Has anyone else ever heard of this happening?
Why would a dealership sell a car with only 9,000 miles AS IS?
