The light on the ceiling of the car. It's the only light in there. I tried slamming the doors, the doors are closed. It just stays on. I noticed today on the way to work, as I was almost pulling into work. Didn't think anything of it. I just thought I didn't slam my door hard enough getting in. So I made sure to shut it tight, then went to work. Came back 8 hours later and the light was STILL on! It didn't seem to effect my battery at all. The car started right up, after that light being on 8 hours. (Unless it's draining the battery very slowly, and I'm not aware.)
Any suggestions how to turn it off or what the problem is?
p.s. I've been home an hour and a half. It's still on.
I will just have to get up early and call the repairman tomorrow, if I can't figure out how to turn it off. Hopefully my battery will still be unaffected.
No and no, William. And I believe I mentioned that I tried shutting the doors. Thanks for that amazing advice. lol
Mike - it is not the dash lights that are on. It's the one on the ceiling of the car. Just that one. And it has no switch. You can't control it. It just comes on when you open the door. I have a very simple little car.
Dakota - it has no switch.
Roadrunner - yeah.... I'm just going to take it into the shop, in a few hours when they open. (I'm going to call first of course.)
Zack - you were right. I went down just now to "check on" the car. lol See if the light burned out or not, and to see if the car still started. It does. I twisted the headlight knob and sure enough............. I feel like an idiot. I'm just glad I feel like an idiot all by myself in the darkness of morning, and not in front of a mechanic. lol ;-)
