Why won't my TV find channels?

Ok, I have this Insignia 19'' HD tv and it won't work. All the cables are hooked up and when I turn it on it says: please scan for channels. When I go to the menu and search for cable channels, it says it cannot find any! Please Help!

Are you sure you have cable channels? You know you need to pay for them to get them.

Try another TV if possible. If the other TV works, then you have a tuner problem. If not, call your cable provider or check your cable again (Make sure the "center" wire is not broken or bent)
