Why won't my Nokia N97 update?

In the nokia software updater it downloads the 133 mb file but only downloads 130 mb before i get an error saying, "make sure your phone is connected correctly" so i tried to update via ovi suite but then i get some unreadable error. I click ok to close the error box and it shuts down my whole ovi. I have tried reinstalling EVERYTHING. Can i update manually? PLEASE HELP
