Why won't my new iPod touch charge?

It works fine and syncs with itunes. It just doesn't charge when I plug it into the computer with the USB cable. I have Windows 7 and iTunes 10.1.1 (latest version) and the newer version of the iTouch with the camera. I have NO idea why it won't charge. I tried different USB ipod cables and a different computer. It still won't charge even then!!!
