Why wont my motorola cliq load happenings or my facebook friends?

My motorola cliq was all synced up with my facebook friends this morning and the happenings widget started to not load new hapenings so i did a master reset and now even thou i am logged in to facebook and my account was added sucessfully, none of my friends will load. It just says you have no facebook contacts. AND THE HAPPENINGS WIDGET IS STILL NOT WORKING!!!!! What do i do!!!!
