Why won't my Lexus IS detect my smart acess key?

I have a 2007 Lexus is250. I have had my car for 11 months and using my push start button ignition has never given me problems. Today I attempted to start the car but it kept saying key is not detected. I did a hard start by rubbing my smart access key up against the button and it worked but the whole time I was driving my warning message kept flashing key is not detected. Is it bad to drive my car while the warning light is flashing? I checked my remote battery and it seems to be fine. Has anyone else experienced these problems?
 
call the dealer. talk to service department....your receiver is dirty or bad...I still think the battery is weak.
