I just bought a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 110k Miles on it. The previous owner had problems with it starting. I put the starter wires in the CORRECT order and it started right up. The past few weeks its been starting harder and harder. It cranks over just fine, and would eventually start as soon as the check engine light came on. Last week I would crank it over for a good 15 seconds then wait, as soon as the check engine light came on it would start like a dream. I'm hoping that will be a giveaway to someone as to what the problem is. The alternator and fuel pump were replaced by the previous owner. There's fuel right at the rail, but the check light isn't coming on and it wont start up.
