Why won't my iPod Touch 2nd Gen won't sync photos?

My iPod Touch has the following specs: 2nd Gen, 8GB, 4.2.1 firmware.
There's no specific folder in the iTunes library labeled Photos. Every time I drag and drop the photos into iTunes for syncing, it identifies the file as a music type and won't sync because it's an "incompatible file." Please help me, I found that other people had the same problem too.
 
have you tried to go on your ipod under devices click on it on the top row there should be some taps click on the one that says "photos", click the box next to where it says "sync photos from" and pick a folder where your pictures are located
