My 03 honda accord has been driving a little weird for the past several months. It was never anything to significant to make me believe something was really wrong, so I just attributed it to the drastic changes in weather we've been having (from really hot to freezing cold one day to the next). All in all, the car didn't drive as smooth as it used to (it has 60,000 miles on it right now and I've had it since it was new). Recently, I came to notice my car sounded a little different....again, nothing really that jumped out at me...just a little off and I thought maybe it was my imagination. I hadn't driven my car in almost a week, and when I got in it the other night it starting to rev up a little while in park, and the rpm was increasing (also while in park). I drove it and I suppose the best way to describe it was that my honda drove kind of jerky, I guess as if it were shifting hard, or not shifting right...but I'm not sure it that is the best way to describe it. I then noticed the engine light came on. Then, it stalled out when I slowed down to stop at a stop sign. I shut the car off and turned it back on and drove off. Right when it stalled the battery light and the oil light came on next to the engine light...but after I restarted my car they shut off (engine light still remained). I drove it a little the next day to see how it would do. It didn't stall, but it still drove a little "jerky." Last night I went to turn my car on and it wouldn't start. Today, tried the same thing and it still won't start. The radio and lights came on, but I tried several times and it wouldn't start....the battery light and the oil light were on (but I'm not sure if they automatically come on when you first try to start up your car). I don't know if the oil has anything to do with it, but when I first bought my car they said I only had to get the oil changed every 7,000 miles I believe.....however, I always try to get it changed every 3,000. I noticed that I haven't had it changed in about 5,500 miles. I've gone that long w/out changing it before w/ no problems. Anyone know what this could be?? I won't be able to bring my car in somewhere until after new years of course, so for right now I'd just like to know what to expect, and how much it will most likely cost, so I know I can research it a little more and feel like I know what is going on when I take it to the car place so I don't get screwed over. Thanks so much!
