Why won't my Harley Davidson motorcycle start?

is it cranking? if so check to see that it has spark,if it has spark you need to make sure it has fuel. And if it has air,fuel and spark then you need to be sure it has those things at the proper time!
 
I have a 2006 Harley Davidson Street Glide and while I was riding it the other day it just shut down. When I try to start it, it sounds like it wants to start but it won't kick over. Is this a matter of changing spark plugs? Only has 14,000 miles, great shape.
I keep the battery hooked up to a charger when not in use for a while. Everything electrically works on the bike still and the battery voltage is reading at 16 volts.
