I have 2 small koi and 4 mollies ( 2 black, 1 sailfin, 1 dalmation each more than an inch long) Earlier when I had more koi I used to keep the filter ON while feeding them. They would both eat the floating food and also catch the food that drifts around due to the powerful filter (and not a single pellet would get wasted). But now that I have only 2 koi , and some mollies, I lessened the amount I feed them and still they are not interested in eating and most of the pellets gets removed by the filter. So I turned off the filter and lessened the amount of pellets even more. Now the pellets are on the top of the surface for hours and still the koi are not bothered about it. Though the mollies try to gobble the food they are'nt able to swallow more than one pellet at a time. I've heard that koi are voracious eaters and so were mine. But what has got into them? And Ive also heard that mollies can be fed once in 3 days...Is it true? Please give me info about how to improve the feeding habits. I feed them twice a day and they are NOT sick. Please help...
