why won't my files sync back to my palm pre. Please help!?

so I had a palm pre and I backed all my files up, then I got a replacement palm pre and I tried to get my files back. My photos, music, and videos meber came bacl. Why did this happen? I hate my life

if you backed them all up to a disc it should have worked if not try again
