I have recently needed to relocate my DSL Gateway to another room and I have it configured the same as the jack it has worked in the past however many years.
The working jack(and now jack i'm trying to make work) is configured as such...
top left Red/Orange
top right White-blue/green
Bottom Left Black
Bottom right Yellow.
It works and gets a dial tone with my phone and connects to the internet.
The jack i'm trying to get to work doesn't get a dial tone unless i configure the top left with Red/Blue and the top right with White-blue/green.
It's also an Actiontec GT701-WG and i have Qwest.
P.S. this is the first time i've tried messing with a jack, so try to dumb it down please
