Why wont my dogs wound heal? Its been a month and a half since he got ran over and his wound just wont heal. Its from (what i would call the dogs version a A WRIST)the wrist joint all the way to the paw. ANd it gets from bad to worse..well the day he got ran over you could literally see his joint then on the way to the paw everything fur and skin was gone all the way to the muscle and when i gets to the paw its hohorrible.it took a chunk of the paw and you an see a part of his BONE...its grew some..we took him to the vet they gave him stiches and they told us t put something over his leg and we alall waysid but one day he took it off and he took off the stitches(by licking it), so we took him to the vet again and they put more stitches and once again he took em off. His treatment has become too expensive and my dad is thinking of amputating his leg but i still have hope so i ask you do you think it will heal.
