why wont my computer install adobe flash player?

its windows XP and a couple of years old
when i go to install it it says to click the gold bar at the top but the gold bar doesnt come up?
ive tried over sites but it still wont work

many thanks
ive tried all of those things and it just wont download :/
i dont have it installed on my computer either
