On a cold day, the steering wheel won't turn to the left at all. It feels like it has hit a rock. Well, if I strain as hard as I can, I can get it to turn just a little. Then, if I rock the car a little (i.e. go forward, hit the brakes, go backward, hit the brakes) it will suddenly go "thump" and work fine. It only does it when it is cold outside. If it is the rack & pinion, why the temperature sensitivity?
